San Antonio FC and Juan Nino agree to part ways

San Antonio FC has agreed to mutually part ways with midfielder Juan Nino, the team announced on Saturday afternoon.

The 27-year-old has played in just two USL matches this season and has gotten offers to play overseas and the club encouraged him to pursue those opportunities.

“On behalf of the team, we wish Juan all the best in his future opportunities and would like to thank him for his contributions to San Antonio FC,” said SAFC Head Coach Darren Powell. “Juan was a fantastic professional to work with and he worked hard for the club every day. We are very appreciative of his time here.”

San Antonio FC returns to action tonight when they take on Sacramento Republic FC at 10 p.m.
